This giant figure is not a close up photograph of some ordinary basket, but the world’s largest basket, which accommodates the entire corporate offices of the Longaberger Basket Company.
It was the brainchild of Dave Longaberger, Founder of the company, to attract attention to the company, besides providing a boost to brand promotion.
The company is famous for making handcrafted baskets, as you might have guessed by now. This particular one, 192 ft long by 126 ft wide at the bottom, to 208 ft long by 142 ft wide at the roofline, is 160 times larger than the company’s medium market basket.
It is beautifully made of stucco over a steel structure, making it identical to the original Longaberger Basket.
The fabulously designed building is successful in attracting attention of people from around the world.
It sure is a must-visit structure, if you happen to be in Ohio, especially at night, when the basket seems to be glowing from within!
