The impact of important incidents
There are many incidents occurring everyday around the globe but only some of them leave an impact on the world. Some of the incidents fall in the category of good events as they leave some kind of positive impact while some of the incidents are so shocking that they disturb the people even after long time. We are here to discuss some of such shocking incidents that traumatized the entire world.
The most shocking events ever
- The 9/11 attacks: even the mention of these attacks saddens the whole world as they are one of the most tragic and shocking incident till date. That September morning was indeed a black morning for the people of New York and Washington D.C. as both places witnessed not one but four suicide attacks that killed thousands of innocent people. The infamous Al-Qaeda head, Osama Bin Laden took responsibility for the bombings. The very significant landmark, the twin towers were severely damaged in the attacks which greatly affected the markets on a global level. This terrorist attack left a scar on the world which will be visible for a very long time.
- The next event that left the world grief stricken was the death of the Princess of Wales, Diana. It all happened in the year 1997 when Diana passed away due to a car accident in Paris. Another person who died in the accident was Dodi Fayed who was the comrade of Diana.
- The sinking of the well known RMS Titanic is another shocking incident that brings sadness to the people who think about it. The ‘unsinkable’ Titanic struck an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912 and that marked the beginning of its end. It was reported that more than fifteen hundred lives were lost in this sinking and hence it is considered as one of the deadliest maritime disasters in the entire history.
- The atomic bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima are definitely one of the most tragic events happened in the past. At the end of the disastrous World War II USA ordered to droppings of two atomic bombs on these two cities of Japan. The aftereffects of these bombings were felt for months and years and it was reported that around 90000 to 166000 people in Hiroshima plus around 60000 to 80000 in Nagasaki were killed in the first 2 to 4 months.
