This has got to be the subtlest corporate brainwashing tactic of the century. First they coaxed you into trading your normal-sized music system with the teeny-tiny iPod and mp3 players telling you headphones were going to be the truest form of music entertainment in the future. Which of course has led to the emergence of an entire sub-industry of speaker systems alone. So while you have a wide variety of external speakers to choose from, you also have to tolerate a few obnoxious ideas along the way. Like this Rechargeable Tumbler USB-powered Speaker which looks good in the picture but might require you to spend an extra few bucks to buy a stand to stick it in. it may be comparatively cheap at $13.32, but will it really last as long as the Phillips music system you had for a decade when you were a kid? No, and when things like this go bust, youâll be tempted into getting another one of these items for another 20 or so bucks. Oh those vicious consumer-exploiting corporations!
